Finch Farm Corsage
Affectionately known as "Roo", Finch Farm Corsage brings together proven performance bloodlines and a strong athletic pedigree.
Bred by Finch Farm in Queensland, Australia, Roo is by Calgary GNZ, a son of the legendary Casall, one of the most influential showjumping sires of the modern era. Through her dam, Nosegay xx, she also carries a valuable infusion of Thoroughbred blood, adding athleticism, stamina, and refinement to her pedigree.
Roo enjoyed a successful competitive career before joining our broodmare band, competing to 1.20m level and producing consistent results in both Australia and New Zealand. Her rideability, athleticism, and willingness to perform made her a standout both in and out of the competition arena.
Before Roo joined our programme, a former professional showjumper gave us some advice that stuck with us: "She jumps like a freak. If you get a chance to own her, you have to take it." When the opportunity eventually presented itself, we did exactly that.
What we value most about Roo, however, is not simply her pedigree or performance record, but the qualities she consistently passes on to her offspring. She is a kind, sensible mare with excellent movement, a modern sporthorse type, and a trainable temperament.
With world-class jumping genetics on her sire's side and the proven athletic influence of the Thoroughbred on her dam line, Roo represents exactly the type of mare we strive to include in our breeding programme — one capable of producing versatile, athletic horses for the sporthorse disciplines of tomorrow.
